DEMO: Cardiac Trabeculae Dissection and Experiments with the Aurora Scientific 1500A

LIVE VIRTUAL DEMO

DATE: TUES, JULY 2ND, 2024
TIME: 11AM ET // 5PM CET
DURATION: 45 MIN

The Aurora Scientific team will provide a methodology focused virtual demonstration of the dissection, tissue preparation, and mounting of cardiac trabeculae with their 1500A small intact muscle system.

Basic mechanics experiments including load clamping will be demonstrated. Best practices from the start of the dissection to the end of data collection will be highlighted. This will be supported by video of the experimental surgery, tissue manipulation and preparation, and experimental setup. The pitfalls and advantages of the technique as well as experimental design will also be touched upon. A live Q&A will follow upon conclusion of the presentation.

The 1500A is a high performing, precise test system, giving researchers a platform to image and test tensile/mechanical properties of many different muscles. With a bath designed to integrate with many different microscopes, the 1500A provides a very versatile means of studying muscle of all types from various different animal models.

This demo will be exclusively available to those who attend live.
